Yeah, this community is kinda pointless, because we have a blog up on MySpace now, and we can have our music there and have more friends and everything. So if you really care what we're up to, go here: http://myspace.com/hydraulicsandwic
Add us to your friends, and read our blog about our shows and writing songs and more pictures and more stuff that you won't see on the website. woot.

Ohhh yeah... CBGB PICTURES! You can't see most of these on our web site, so if you're reading this, you're special. haha
Here's a small sample... click on a picture to view a full gallery, where you can see the thumbnails and full-size images.
Hey everybody... long time since I've posted We had a cool (although short) practice yesterdat, with me (Brian), Dana, Jake, and Rachael (Eric's off at college). We worked on three new songs, which we'll hopefully be playing at our show in Monson on the 22nd. By the way, if you want to go to that show (AND YOU SHOULD BECAUSE MONSON RULES) let us know. It'd be a plus if you could bring a camcorder capable of transferring digital video to a computer, because we could use some footage for a DVD or video or something.
Oh yeah, we tentatively planned a late night practice/spend the night at my house dealie on Friday, and we'll hopefully get all those songs done that night... Eric has lyrics for them all (we emailed him some rough mp3s of the songs), but we just haven't had the chance to all work on them together.
We also have a new page up on MySpace.com... It has pictures, mp3s, a whole bunch of info about us, and a blog. You can check it out here: http://myspace.com/hydraulicsandwic
Our PureVolume page has over 3,500 plays now. That's a lot.
If you haven't heard, Reality Check won a whole bunch of awards on GarageBand.com, which is wicked cool. Here's the list:

25th Best Drums in Punk all-time
17th Best Bass in Punk all-time
Best Guitars in Punk week of 11Oct2004

Not much to post... so here's the two latest news posts on the Hydraulic Sandwich page, both of which basically tell everything that's been happening with the band lately. Who's coming to the Energy Park show on Thursday?
Sunday, August 21st
So, before I write anything, I'd just like to say that I'm wondering if 1. Dana's misspelling "August" at the beginning of the last news post was intentional or not, and 2. why I didn't notice it until just now.
Having said that, nothing has really happened since the last news post. Tonight the band had a little gathering at my house, which involved eating a lot of pizza, drinking a lot of Mountain Dew, and some karaoke on the PS2, including Dana's interesting rendition of "Genie in a Bottle". We're having a real practice for the first time in almost 2 weeks, and we have a bunch of ideas for new songs, so we're looking forward to it.
This Thursday's show at the Greenfield Energy Park is going to be our last show of the summer, and our last show for almost a month. We're taking a break for most of September as Eric goes off to college in Boston, and as senior year in high school starts up for the rest of us. It's been a long while since we've written a song, due to us playing lots of shows, our jobs, and other things going on, so we're going to take this opportunity to hopefully write a lot of new songs and get other things done that we've been putting off for a while.
We also have a new show, ending our month-long break, on September 24th, with Jimmie's Chicken Shack at Pearl Street, and we'll be selling tickets for that soon. Don't miss it.
Saturday, Agugust 15th
So a couple of cool things went down towards this fun full summer. First was that we were picked to play on this years' LOCOBAZOOKA, but they wanted us to front a lil too much money for tickets, so we had to back out. Plus, we would only be able to play for 15 minutes and we have heard from other bands that played last year that it is not worth doing. But we do take it as a huge compliment that we were picked out of 3,000, considering there were only 40 bands picked. Anyway, we are still going to have more fun this summer. Thursday was a cool show at the South Hadley Teen Center. We got to dress up and play in an air conditioned room. Also, our music is going to be played on Lazer 99.3's local music show (it's on Sunday nights) so keep your radios on and your ears open. Last night in Monson was awesome, it was crazy, everybody there (over 200 people) was singing to our songs. We had a lot of fun. We got one more show to go till we go on our month break. Well its not really a break because we are still going to be writing and practicing, but we are not playing any shows. But we we will be back, don't you worry. As I was saying, one more show and its got the two bands we like playing with most. They are none other than Scattered and Piranha. There may be one more band joining the show too. So I guess we will talk later. This is Dana saying "The average wingspan for and American Bald Eagle is 6 to 8 feet". Peace and Love. P.S Download Rock On Children at Purevolume now! O and buy thongs.

Oh yeah, we also were mentioned in the big article about the Energy Park in today's Recorder. Check it out.
We had a cool practice yesterday... we went over a whole bunch of old covers we needed to learn for the show at the South Hadley Teen Center on Friday. It's been a long time since we've played some of that stuff... all of our old Blink-182 and Green Day covers... and some Relient K too. Afterwards, we took Dana's and Jake's cars, and Jake's four-wheeler, and went out off-roading behing my house. Wicked fun. Jake and Dana covered each other's cars in mud... we took a whole bunch of pictures too. Expect to see them up in the next couple of days.
We've got a show Friday up at the Legion Pavilion in Monson... if you want to go, let us know... we have tickets, and we can probably give you a ride or arrange for you to get one if you need one. Scattered, Half Way There, and Dangerously Happy are also playing... should be a fun show.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the Energy Park last night. It definitely wasn't our best show, and we obviously weren't well prepared. Dana breaking two guitar strings didn't help much, but it did make things interesting and funny.
We have a cool show coming up at the Energy Park on August 26th at 6 PM... it's a FREE show, and we'll be playing with Piranha, Scattered, and another band TBA.
Rock on children.
